Alex and Eve come from two different backgrounds which are akin to oil and water. Alex is a Greek Orthodox schoolteacher while Eve is a Muslim Lawyer from Lebanon. Emotions are rife with dilemma and torture as they find a way to keep their love from drowning in this cultural conflict.
